THIS
LAST SONG |

The
music finally fades as memories of the past come crashing
in. This page concludes Chapter VII, "For Old Time's
Sake."
We also updated the desktop wallpapers in our Extras
section. |

BOYS
WILL BE BOYS |

The
dance continues, but our favorite thieving youngster
will have none of it. Shiva also seems to be having
some misgivings...
In addition to the new page, we've added two new support
options. Besides downloading our books at WOWIO,
you can now support Fantasy Realms by voting
for us at Top
Web Comics and Buzz
Comix -- the buttons are situated below
the latest update box to the right. More clicks will
make Fantasy Realms appear higher on the respective
comic leaderboards, and thus our comic will be visible
to an even larger audience.
We're not big fans of conning our readers into votes
through exclusive incentives and the like, but know
your support is always greatly appreciated and goes
a long way into making this comic a success. |

FOR
OLD TIME'S SAKE |
|
Fantasy
Realms finally makes its much belated return this
week. The gallant Gandash emerges from the shadows,
and hints none too subtly of a history he and the Priestess
Calais share.
Part of the delay was preparing for our next announcement:
our new studio! Cramoisy
is the home for our projects as well as that of our
friend Hai!
All of our stories will be within a fingertip's reach
via the convenient new header, and soon you will be
able to access our studio webpage for the latest news
on what we're doing.

Once you've enjoyed our update, you should move on over
and check out Hai's new comic By
Moon Alone. It has everything a good
story needs. Hulking monsters, plucky heroes, and...a
tuning fork? You'll have to read to find out more!

MOON ALONE |

We
imagine this will not elicit any shock from our tried
and true readership, but we have missed our relaunch
date by a smidgeon. Fear not, we really do have something
up our sleeve; we just got a bit tipsy on the eggnog
and reveled too much in the holiday festivities. We
had another announcement to make as well, but since
we wanted to line things up for one big bang, we've
pushed both it and Fantasy Realms' relaunch
to January 21 January 28.
But to tide you over a bit, Niko plans to resume his
semi-daily doodles over at his sketch
blog, and we have a special
teaser for Hai's latest project -- which
just happens to be part of our upcoming announcement!
If that's not enough, perhaps a few comics will suit.
Hwei Lin Lim's Hero
is a dreamily penned fantasy tale told almost exclusively
through the artwork. Each beautiful image is a story
in itself, but hover your cursor for a moment and you
will see captions that enlighten a deeper story.
Then
there is Strays
by Samantha Whitten and Stacey Pefferkorn. The comic
has only just begun but already promises a lively story
filled with action, drama, and a touch of humor complete
with super-deformed skits.
Finally, we have updated our banners in the Extras
section. If you have a hankering to update your links
to a non-updating comic, now is the time! |

HAPPY
HOLIDAYS |
|
With
the script rewrite done, we're moving forward here in
Fantasy Realms Land. Unfortunately, we don't
come bearing presents just yet. We will be spending
the holiday seasons preparing and building up a collection
of pages so you can expect a steady update schedule,
but like many of you, we will also be spending the holidays
with a little fun and cheer.
We look forward to seeing you on January 7.
In the meantime, you might want to keep tabs on our
blogs: Clay's
Nowhere Land and Niko
Geyer's Journal.
Our
super-talented friend Barb Jacobs (author of the popular
Talismen
graphic novel) has started posting pages of her new
pet project. Xylia
is a beautifully illustrated fairy tale that will appeal
especially to the romantic at heart. We're sure Barb
would love to hear from you guys, so hop on over and
send her some e-hugs in our name! |

The
script revisions are taking us longer than we thought,
but we're getting there. You can expect a new page within
this month. We do have some actual content to present
with this update though!
Our
Fan Art Gallery
has been updated with not just new artwork, but some
old, previously unavailable pieces as well. Be sure
to check that out! The beautiful illustration on the
left is a contribution by our partner in crime, Hai.
You can see more of his work at homanga.deviantart.com.
The artist of the other picture calls himself Kitsune.
If
you're left wanting for a fantasy fix, Kelly Hamilton's
excellent Roza
comic has resumed updates with a brand new chapter. |
